The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, International Hospital Limited (IHL), has signed a 15-year lease agreement with RR Lifesciences Limited for the facility. Fortis had been managing this hospital since its launch in October 2022 under an Operations & Management (O&M) arrangement. Now, with the new lease, it will run as Fortis Hospital Greater Noida with full operational and financial control.
The hospital sits on a 1.35-acre UPSIDA-leased land parcel with a built-up area of 2.7 lakh sq. ft.. It has scope to expand by an additional 50 beds, raising capacity to around 250 beds in the future. Conveniently located, the hospital is well connected by major roads including the Greater Noida Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and is just 34 km from the upcoming Jewar International Airport.
Greater Noida has been witnessing rapid growth in population, industries, and housing. However, healthcare facilities have not kept up with the demand. The addition of this tertiary care hospital under the Fortis brand is expected to play a key role in addressing the medical needs of the local community and neighboring regions.
Speaking about the development, Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD & CEO of Fortis Healthcare Limited, said:
“The addition of Fortis Hospital Greater Noida underlines our commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery across NCR. With this expansion, we are not only enhancing access to advanced tertiary care but also reinforcing Fortis’ leadership in the region.”
Fortis Healthcare Limited is one of India’s leading integrated healthcare service providers. Its network includes 33 healthcare facilities across 11 states, with more than 5,700 operational beds and 400 diagnostic labs.
