The scope of the order includes the supply of Boiler, Turbine, Generator and associated auxiliaries, along with control and instrumentation systems. The project will be based on supercritical technology. BHEL will manufacture the Boiler at its Trichy plant and the Turbine-Generator at its Haridwar facility.
The total order value is estimated at approximately ₹2,600 crore (excluding GST), with a supply completion schedule of 58 months.
The order is purely domestic in nature, with no promoter or related-party interests involved. A formal contract agreement will be executed shortly.
This new project further strengthens BHEL’s position in the power sector, reinforcing its role in India’s energy infrastructure development.
On the markets front, the stock’s in the ₹212–₹217 range, still far from its 52-week high of ~₹291, trading rich at ~260× earnings.
