Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has reported strong operational performance for August 2025, achieving a 16% year-on-year growth in cargo volumes.

The company handled 41.9 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo during the month, with container volumes showing the sharpest rise at 29% compared to last year.
For the year-to-date (April to August 2025), APSEZ has managed a total cargo volume of 202.6 MMT, reflecting an 11% growth over the same period last year. Container handling was again a major driver, recording a 22% increase.
On the logistics front, rail volumes in August 2025 stood at 57,347 TEUs, up 8% year-on-year, while the company’s GPWIS (Gangavaram Port–Vizag Iron and Steel) cargo volume reached 1.69 MMT, marking a 3% growth.
For the April–August 2025 period, rail logistics volumes totaled 297,766 TEUs(Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) (+14% YoY), and GPWIS(General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme ) volumes stood at 9.35 MMT (+3% YoY).
This consistent growth underlines APSEZ’s position as India’s largest private port operator, reflecting robust demand across container and logistics services.
